Alter departs from Asuka's usual plugsuit iconography for a casual NERV-branded jersey and shorts look, seated in a relaxed, candid pose that has proven especially popular among Western Evangelion collectors nostalgic for the franchise's 1990s aesthetic. As a long-running evergreen search term with steady rather than spiking demand, Japanese secondhand stock is comparatively available, though genuine early-print boxes are increasingly outnumbered by counterfeit listings on general overseas marketplaces.
Genuine boxes include the Khara/Studio Khara license hologram seal, the yellow NERV-pilot jersey fabric shows a subtle woven-texture matte finish with sharply printed lettering (bootlegs typically have glossy, smeared text), and the Alter copyright engraving appears on the underside of the base.
